I’m confused though because I’ve seen youtube videos with thousands and hundreds of thousands of views listed? I do not understand, Chris :C
well, youtube views don’t PERMANENTLY freeze at 301, but basically if a video gets much over 300 views within a few hours of the video being posted (as happens extremely often with any popular youtube channel like roosterteeth), youtube used to just say the video only had 301 views (even if it had thousands of likes) until it can perform several algorithmic checks to ensure all of the views are “valid” (i.e. not all from the same IP or due to bots/people refreshing a lot trying to boost view numbers, etc.). then it’ll show the real view count after maybe a day or so.
